- Job Overview: As an Accounts Executive, you will play a critical role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the finance department. You will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and financial reporting. Your attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and knowledge of accounting principles will be essential in carrying out your duties effectively.
- Key Responsibilities-
- Accounts Payable:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Review invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and adherence to company policies.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve any invoice discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain vendor records and reconcile vendor statements.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and send customer invoices in a timely manner.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and update the accounts receivable ledger.
- Collaborate with customers to address billing inquiries and resolve any payment discrepancies.
- General Ledger Maintenance:
- Record financial transactions accurately and timely in the general ledger.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
- Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and generate various financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Provide financial data and reports to internal stakeholders as required.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements for audits and tax purposes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Expense Management:
- Review employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile and analyze expense accounts, identifying any discrepancies or potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of expense budgets and variance analysis.
- Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and retention of financial records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in the maintenance of fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Collaborative Support:
- Work closely with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in financial audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and resolve any financial-related inquiries.
